Information about members of a company's current board of directors can be found in standard directory resources such as PitchBook, or S&P Capital IQ (see access details). S&P Capital IQ also includes prior board members and the ability to screen for board members by title, board job function or committee assignment.

Use Nexis Dossier.

  • Search for a company and pull up the company's profile.
  • In the left-side menu, expand Company Information and select Executive Contacts to view the current board.
  • To view historical board rosters, expand Company Information, select Company History.
  • In the row above the table, select year(s) of interest, then click the Directors link.

Try LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv):

  • Search for a company by name or ticker.
  • In the company record's menu, hover over ESG and select the desired option from the Officers menu. The Overview page includes both current and previous officers and directors.
  • To screen for officers or directors, hover over Search Tools in the main menu and select Search. Under Other, select People. Use the Filters menu to narrow Search to Officers/Directors and customize the fields displayed.

WRDS (see access details) has several files that include board information including compensation, demographics and committee assignments:

  • BoardEx,
  • ISS/Institutional Shareholder Services (formerly known as RiskMetrics)
  • Capital IQ People Intelligence

In FactSet (see access details), search the company's profile for board information and relationships. Post-merger board and management positions are also searchable through MergerMetrics in FactSet.

For historical board information, use Standard & Poor's Register of Corporations, at call number HG4057 A4 in the Lippincott Library Peck Collection or D&B Reference Book of Corporate Managements, call number HD2745.D85 in the Peck Collection.
