In LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv), use the QH command in combination with a ticker symbol, e.g. MSFT QH, to go directly to the Quote History page, then select the desired interval (1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes).

Use Bloomberg (see access details).

  • For equities or indices, type the stock's ticker symbol or the index symbol then hit the yellow <EQUITY> or <INDEX> key, and then type GIT and hit the green <GO>.
  • For example, to get intraday trading for the S&P 500: SPX <INDEX> GIT <GO>.

Also, go to WRDS (see access details).

  • Use TAQ (NYSE Trade and Quote database).
  • Historical NYSE (1983-1992) and AMEX (1983-1992) and NASDAQ (1987-1992) tick-by-tick data from ISSM (Institute for the Study of Security Markets is available from interactive tools (SAS, Python, R), rather than the web query interface.
