Q. Are masks required in the Penn Libraries?

Answer

In accordance with the latest campus guidelines for the Penn community, fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks inside the Penn Libraries.

Unvaccinated individuals are required to mask indoors and outside.

The University requests that outside visitors not come physically to campus if they feel ill, have been exposed to a case of COVID-19, or if they are not fully vaccinated.

As the understanding of risks evolves, many members of the University community may choose to continue wearing masks in various campus settings, whether they are fully vaccinated or not. Your respect, empathy, and understanding are greatly appreciated during this transitional time when individuals may opt to use additional personal precautions.
