How do I find encyclopedias on specific subjects in Judaic Studies?

Answer

There are a number of ways to find subject encyclopedias:

  1. For print sources, search in Franklin using the tips suggested in PORT.
  2. For online sources (a limited portion of our collection), select Encyclopedias and Subject Dictionaries as a resource type in E-Resources, and then choose your area of interest, or type in keywords.
  3. Many Research Guides for specific subjects list useful encyclopedias in that field.
  4. Ask a librarian.
