How long may I borrow Fisher Fine Arts Library materials? Are there late fees?

Answer

Borrowing periods for our circulating books differ by Penn status.

  • Undergraduates: 28 days
  • Graduates: 1 semester
  • Faculty: 1 year

Check out as many books as you need, but please be mindful of others and return books no longer needed. You may renew books as long as no holds have been placed on them.

Monitor your library account by clicking on the Login button in the upper right of the Penn Libraries page.

Course reserves are for in-library use for 2 hours. Journals do not circulate from Fisher, and some books are also designated as non-circulating. Please consult the item's record in Franklin to check its availability and if it circulates.

Please see Fines and Fees for information on lost items and replacement fees as well as what to do if you receive a lost notice.

Titles that are checked out or non-circulating can be requested from other schools through BorrowDirect and E-ZBorrow. Learn more about these services on our Resource Sharing guide.

If you have questions about circulation services in the Fisher Fine Arts Library, please get in touch with Kirby Bell at kirby3@pobox.upenn.edu or 215-898-8325.
