No, unfortunately. The Penn Libraries began to expand its video collections only in the early 2000s, after the predominant video format was shifting from VHS to DVD. There was not a large collection of legacy formats on reels before this time, and the library does not have access to older, working projection equipment that can accommodate these formats.

Few libraries still offer the use of film projectors that will play legacy formats. Local film transfer services such as PhotoLounge in Center City or Masterpiece Multimedia in Malvern will digitize home movies in old formats for a fee, as will a mail-order film transfer service such as Capture.
