In general, visitors from outside the Penn community are welcome to visit Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center on weekdays during the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. A photo ID is required.

During evenings and weekends, as well as during Reading Days and Final Exams, access is more restricted. Please see this page for a full explanation of Van Pelt's access policies.

If you are from a university other than Drexel, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Swarthmore, Temple, or a SHARES partner, you may still visit Van Pelt Library to access materials exclusive to Penn's library collections. Please call the library at (215) 898-7555 to inquire about access.
