Your library account may be blocked for any of the following reasons:

1) fines owed over the allowed dollar limit
2) an overdue recalled book
3) an expired or invalid email address*
4) an expired PennCard

If your library account is blocked, you will not be able to borrow or request materials from Penn, use resource sharing services, such as BorrowDirect, or access some databases. For assistance, please contact us.

* If you suspect your email address is absent from your library account, you can proactively update your preferred email address in the Penn Directory. We receive frequent updates from the University system. Our system will be updated with the new information and the block removed. If you need immediate assistance please give us a call: 215-898-7566.
