To search for a book at Penn, first check the catalog, accessible from the Penn Libraries homepage. For more advanced help, see the catalog user help.

The Biddle Law Library has a separate catalog.

If a book is unavailable in the catalog, Penn students, faculty and staff can request it by first logging in to their library account and then using the Request an item button on the catalog record. For books that are not currently part of Penn’s collection, go to My Account (upper right-hand corner) and select Request an item.
