• ​Choose Compustat as your dataset.
• Scroll down to Other Products and choose Segments.

Note: WRDS requires a Wharton username and password.

Use Bloomberg (see access details).

• Type the company's ticker symbol and hit the yellow <EQUITY> key, type DES and hit <GO>.
• One of the pages within the company's Description will be a product segmentation.

To compare a company's product segmentation with its peers in Bloomberg:

• Type the company's ticker symbol, hit <EQUITY>, type PPC and hit <GO>.
• For example, IBM <EQUITY> PPC <GO>.
