Take a look at Women's Bureau from the US Department of Labor.

Go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Women in the Labor Force: A Databook.

Use Bloomberg, available at Lippincott Library and in Huntsman Hall, to find data on the percentage of women in a US public company's workforce.

  • Type the company's ticker symbol then hit the yellow <EQUITY> key.
  • Then, type FA ESGS and hit the green <GO> key.


To screen for companies that are owned by women, use Mergent Intellect's Advanced Search option.

Reference USA allows screening for female executives.  Use Advanced Search filter Executive Gender.

Search Hoovers for business workplaces that are "female friendly".  Use workplace filter.

Use the database, Contemporary Women's Issues.
