For a company's date of incorporation go to Cheetah

  • In Practice Areas, click on Securities - Federal & International  then in the Federal section, navigate to Capital Changes and select Capital Changes U.S.
  • Search for a company of interest

You can also go to Orbis or Osiris.

  • Enter Company Name and click View Report

To search by dates of incorporation:

  • Select Year of Incorporation and enter dates to modify the search criteria

Use Mergent Online to search for a company. In the Company Details tab, click History to view date of incorporation/reincorporation.

For the year founded, go to Corporate Affiliations and search for the company.

Also, use Capital IQ to locate year founded. Go to the Tearsheet. Year Founded is in top left section of the page.

Capital IQ is available to Wharton Students in the Yablon Financial Resources Lab in Lippincott Library.  Full-time MBAs have additional access to Capital IQ via MBA Career Management.  See our FAQ titled Where Can I Get Access to Capital IQ? for complete details.
