The Lippincott Library team recommends these PitchBook login troubleshooting steps:
- Have you created a PitchBook account through Penn? PitchBook access requires that you create an individual account using your university email address.
- Are you logging in at the Penn-branded PitchBook login page? You'll need to use the libraries' PitchBook access link every time you log in.
- Does PitchBook return an invalid IP address error? If your computer is not connected to the campus network, try connecting to the University VPN before you log in to PitchBook. You can use an IP address lookup site to confirm your browser traffic is being routed through Penn's network.
- Did you graduate recently? Your access to library resources and services ends when you are transitioned from active student status in the university's systems. The library does not have the ability to extend access to library resources. There is a limited set of resources available to alumni through the Alumni Services portal.
- Was your last login during or before May? PitchBook performs an annual account refresh that invalidates existing user accounts. It occurs at the end of May and requires that all users reset their accounts. To reset your account, click the Create an Account link on the Penn-branded PitchBook login page and follow the prompts.
If you've tried these steps and still have trouble, email lippincott@wharton.upenn.edu. In your email,
- Answer the troubleshooting questions above.
- Describe how you try to log in. Include the links you follow, the web browser(s) you used, and your location (e.g.: a lab machine on campus; behind a corporate firewall).
- Include screenshots of any errors you receive.
Business librarians will work with you to restore your access.
