Question & Answer

Question: I am researching a particular author in the health sciences. How can I find a list of everything published by that author?
Answer:

There is no definite way to find everything that a particular author has ever published, but here are some tips:

  1. Start with an author search in CINAHL. CINAHL indexes books, book chapters, and articles, whereas Medline indexes only articles.
  2. Do an author search in WorldCat. WorldCat also indexes some book chapters.
  3. You can also look in LocatorPlus of the NLM as they also index some book chapters.
  4. ISI Web of Science and Scopus are good databases to search for journal articles.
