Question & Answer

Question: Does the library have a Bloomberg terminal?
Answer: The library has 9 PCs with Bloomberg Professional:
  • One in the Precinct Library
    • book at the Precinct Library desk
  • Three in the Eddie Davies Library Finance Zone
    • book using the student portal / My Manchester
    • Screenshots My Manchester and room booking
    • Note PC1 is the 4 screen Bloomberg PC
  • Five in the Bloomberg Suite - Eddie Davies Library Finance Zone
    • drop-in PCs - no booking required
Bloomberg is available to all staff and students of Manchester Business School, and the University of Manchester.

Bloomberg access depends on library staff to monitor the PCs and logon users when required. Saturday 17:00 to 20:00 the Eddie Davies Library (EDL) is open on a reference only basis and therefore there is no undergraduate access to Bloomberg at the EDL during this time.

For more details and tips on using Bloomberg: You can access the Bloomberg.com public website for general information about Bloomberg.

[ Bloomberg is one of the library's specialist financial databases and is only available on the Bloomberg terminal PCs. See our Specialist finance resources page, one of the Business and Management resources pages for details of others.]
