Question & Answer

Question: How can I check a journal's availability through the library?
Answer: The Electronic Journals A to Z List is the best place to check if the library has access to the electronic version of a journal.
You can search by journal title, or use advanced search to search by ISSN
Note that some journals are available on more than one e-journal database, and the years available may differ between the databases.

For older journals, the library has some holdings that are not available electronically. Use the University of Manchester Library Catalogue to check.
Select Collection as Journals (Try keyword search if you are unsure of the exact journal title.)

Remember that if you need a journal article that the library does not currently hold, you can enquire about obtaining it using the Document Supply service (Inter-Library Loan)
