The Penn Library holds the personal and professional papers, and music collections of Marian Anderson.
The collection includes Marian Anderson Papers, ca. 1900-1993: correspondence, writings, programs, clippings, awards, and memorabilia concerning the musical and philanthropic career of contralto Marian Anderson (1897-1993).
Related collections include the music (manuscript and printed) that she performed, sound recordings, and photographs.
Available on-line are facsimiles and an index to the more than 4,000 unique photographic images contained in the collection.
