We do not have a collection of audio foreign language learning materials. If you'd like to read foreign language books, or view non-English language films, you can search Franklin, the Penn Library Catalog, and use the limits on the left to filter by language.

To read recent issues of many foreign newspapers, use Library PressDisplay. You can find additional links to foreign newspapers in the Finding Newspapers at Penn Research Guide.

There are also a number of free language-learning apps and products, such as Duolingolingua.ly, or Bliu Bliu. For Mandarin Chinese in particular, there is ChineseSkill, and the app Skritter is helpful for learning Chinese and Japanese characters. The site Lang-8 allows users to write short posts and receive corrections by native speakers, which may be helpful for practicing writing.

Some online language learners also use flashcard apps, such as Anki or Quizlet. Memrise is another flashcard tool that combines cards with mnemonic devices to build vocabulary, however its content is crowdsourced and sometimes of varying quality.
