Scanners are available in several Penn Libraries locations. You can use a scanner (or the camera on your smartphone or tablet) to turn a paper document into a PDF document. Once you have the document in PDF format, you can use Adobe Acrobat software (available on almost all library computers) to do an OCR (optical character recognition) scan. This will allow you to copy/paste the text from the PDF document to a Word document.
