To ensure maximum availability, reserve materials are generally charged out by the hour or overnight. The length of the borrowing period for reserve materials varies by individual library.
For example, at the Rosengarten Reserve Desk, on the ground floor of Van Pelt, reserve materials are primarily for use in Rosengarten. However, reserve books, with the exception of personal copies kept at the Desk, may be charged out for 3-hour periods for use in other parts of Van Pelt Library. Desk Materials, i.e. some books and all pamphlets (photocopies and article reprints), are kept at the Reserve Desk and are limited to two-hour in-room use. You may charge out only one Desk item at a time.
