At this time Franklin will not list a book as checked out to a carrel. However, if you see a book checked out with a due date of 5 years or more, that book is loaned to a study carrel. You have a couple of options to view the book:

  • You may go to the carrel where the book is being held and look at it there. (map of Van Pelt Library -- carrels are numbered along the edges) You must return the book to the carrel; it may not be checked out.
  • You may request the book through BorrowDirect+ and keep it for up to 16 weeks.
