Most Pennkey-authenticated computers at Penn Libraries have statistical software like R, SPSS, SAS, and STATA on them. The Public Computer Labs guide details which software is loaded on which computers. We also offer a Virtual Computer Lab for students to access software applications normally accessible in Library computer labs. The Penn Libraries vLab provides a Windows 10 virtual PC desktop with SPSS and Stata available.

For tutorials, see our Statistical Software Research Guide for resources at Penn Libraries and elsewhere for understanding and using statistical packages SPSS, SAS, Stata and R. Penn's subscription to LinkedIn Learning also provides video-based tutorials for some statistical programs, and O'Reilly for Higher Education has books covering these programs.
