During busy times of the semester Google Scholar interprets users coming to Google Scholar through the library proxy as bots. You may be presented with a CAPTCHA challenge where part of the challenge is missing and therefore impossible to complete.
Try this approach, instead:

Go to https://scholar.google.com/

Click on the cog for settings

Click on Library Links in the left menu.

Search for University of Pennsylvania and select 'University of Pennsylvania - Full Text via PennText'

Save settings. (For the settings to stick, you will need to be logged into a Google account.)
Continue searching using https://scholar.google.com/ as your starting point, i.e. not using Scholar through proxy. This will prevent Scholar from misidentifying you as a bot, but the PennText setting above means you will still be able to access our subscriptions.
