Q. Which institutions are currently participating in the national VIVO network?
The application that supports VIVO was developed at Cornell University in 2003 and implemented locally in 2004. In 2009, The University of Florida received a $12.2M award from the NIH to expand the platform at Cornell and five other institutions (Indiana University, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, The Scripps Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Ponce Medical College) to facilitate cross-institutional discovery. Currently VIVO is being adopted by institutions and organizations in the United States and abroad including many institutions with CTSA awards.
