Basic information about members of a company's current board of directors can be found in standard directory resources such as Mergent Online or Orbis.

Use Corporate Affiliations. After searching for a company, select a year of interest from the Historical Data drop-down box to view historical board information.

Thomson ONE has information on current officers and directors, including committee memberships, as well as historical information back to the mid-1990s. Search by company name or ticker in the top left corner then, on the Company Views menu, click on Officers & Directors.
To screen for officers or directors, use the Screening & Analysis menu on the left and click on Individuals then Officers & Directors. This will also allow you to view connections between two people.

Note: this database only works using Internet Explorer.

ISS (formerly known as RiskMetrics) within WRDS includes details on the structures and practices of boards of directors at S&P 500, S&P Midcap, and S&P Smallcap firms.

BoardEx also within WRDS has information on directors and executives including data on compensation, demographics, committee details, and more.

Note: WRDS requires a Wharton username and password.

Wharton students can come to the Lippincott Library Information Desk and ask to be logged into FactSet. Search the company's profile for board information and relationships. Post-merger board and management positions are also searchable through MergerMetrics in FactSet.

For historical board information, use Standard & Poor's Register of Corporations, at call number HG4057 A4 in the Lippincott Library Peck Collection or D&B Reference Book of Corporate Managements, call number HD2745.D85 in the Peck Collection.
