Financial ratios are available in several company directory resources:

  • Hoovers -  the Financials section of the company record includes Key Ratios and Market Valuation (in the Financial Health section), Annual Ratios, and Ratio Comparisons (Company/Industry/Sector)
  • S&P Capital IQ (see access details) - get to ratios from the left-hand menu on a company record (Under Financials, select Ratios).
  • Dow Jones Factiva - has a Ratio Comparison Report feature that compares a company's performance to its industry, sector and the S&P 500. 
    • Scroll over Companies/Markets at the top of the page and select Company.
    • Search for your company by name or ticker, then click on Reports in the left-hand menu and select Ratio Comparison Report.
  • PitchBook (see access details) - ratios are available under Financials on a company's record.

Financial Ratios Suite in WRDS (see access details) can provide over 70 pre-calculated financial ratios for all U.S. companies across eight different categories including valuation, liquidity, and profitability. Industry-level and firm-level ratios are available.
