Use PitchBook to search for female founders and entrepreneurs. Click on the People tab on the left menu to get started:

  • Set Gender = Female
  • Select the Founder/founding Partner button
  • You can also include criteria like Locations, Firm Types, or University/Institution affiliation, like University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)

Take a look at Women's Bureau from the US Department of Labor.

Go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Women in the Labor Force: A Databook.

Use Bloomberg (see access details) to find data on the percentage of women in a US public company's workforce.

  • Type the company's ticker symbol then hit the yellow <EQUITY> key.
  • Then, type FA ESGS and hit the green <GO> key.


Reference USA allows screening for female executives.  Use Advanced Search filter Executive Gender.

Search Hoovers for business workplaces that are "female friendly".  Use workplace filter.

Use the database, Contemporary Women's Issues.
