Use Pitchbook (see access details).

  • To screen for companies:
    • Select Companies & Deals > All Companies & Deals and your choice of VC/PE categories.
    • Add any additional criteria and Search.
  • From a company profile, look under Deal History.

In LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv), select Search Tools-->Private Equity/VC or use the command ICOSCRNR.

Use CB Insights, which focuses on funding within the high-tech start-up space.

Search Preqin for Companies & Deals or Fund Managers. Preqin includes some performance information.

Use Capital IQ (see access details).

  • Select Screening > Targeting > Find Buyers or Investors.
  • Choose screening criteria (e.g: Stages > Late Venture) and select Add to Criteria List.
  • Select Run Search.

Use Bloomberg (see access details).

  • Type PE and hit the green <GO> key to get to the main Private Equity homepage.

Come to Lippincott Library and ask to be logged into FactSet.

  • From the blue "F" button, go to Screening then click on Idea Screening.
  • Under Create New Screen, choose I Am Looking For, then Private Equity.
  • To view data by company, use blue "F" button and choose Private Equity / Venture Capital then enter a specific firm, portfolio or fund name.

Use SDC Platinum, available in Lippincott Library.
