Thomson One offers company financials and analyst reports. To find company financials, type the company's name or ticker symbol in the search bar in the upper-left corner. Click the "Company Views" tab and then click "Filings". To find analyst reports, type the company's name or ticker symbol in the search bar. Click on the "Company Views" tab and then click "Research". The International Directory of Company Histories offers brief but comprehensive histories of a variety of companies, including Alibaba. Company histories are useful for finding out what strategies a company has used to deal with business problems in the past, and if those strategies were successful.

Factiva gathers news from the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Associated Press, and many other major newspapers, and is a great source for finding current news about a company. To find news about Alibaba, go to Factiva and click "Search". Click the blue arrow next to "Company" and type Alibaba into the search bar that appears. This will limit your results to articles about Alibaba. Type any other search terms of interest in the "Free Text Search" box and click "Search".

Business Source Complete and ABI/Inform are the main databases for finding academic articles on business topics and on specific companies. Both databases allow you to limit your results to articles about a  specific company. In Business Source Complete, type Alibaba in the search bar and then select "CO Company Entity" in the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar. Add any other search terms of interest and then click "Search". In ABI/Inform, type Alibaba in the search bar and then select "Company/Organization - ORG" in the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar. Add any other search terms of interest and then click "Search".
