The following databases will provide market research and industry information at global or regional levels.

Technavio reports cover a wide range of industries, including very niche industries. Reports are available through two providers:

  • EMIS - Type Technavio in the keyword box and select the type of report needed (global, regional, country). Search by keyword or select an industry and/or geography from the pull-down menus. Reports are available here 3 months after Technavio publishes them.
  • Factiva - Go to Search-->Search Builder. Click the arrow next to Source. Uncheck 'Exclude Discontinued Sources' and search for Technavio. Use the blue triangle to add it to your search (this will add the code rst=technav), then add desired keywords, e.g. rst=technav and cuff links.

S&P Net Advantage.  Click on Companies and then click Industries.  Type an industry name into the search box and select the industry of interest.  Use the filters on the left to select ratios, financials, etc.

IBISWorld includes reports on small industries in the U.S. and China.
